We decided to head up North this easter to spend some time in the Lake District with my family and Edinburgh with my friends and obviously shopping happened so I wanted to show you what I picked up.
I thought I would try something different - not putting me in the pictures and it has definitely taken the pressure off me and it means I can just get on with promoting the amazing things I can find. So moving forward I will mix it up, any tips fully welcome.
We started our holiday in Edinburgh seeing some friends and they took us to this amazing charity shop spot around Raeburn Place. It is literally a street full of charity shop after charity shop. I was on a budget but still managed to pick up a skirt and a top. The prices were a little higher than Im used to but we were in a city so it was to be expected. The skirt is just a front button denim skirt but I had been searching for the right one for ages because the fit always seems off - this has an elasticated waist, so i'm in with a chance lads. The Next thing I picked up was a high neck pattern shirt from shelter for £5, which to be honest is the higher end of my budget when charity shopping, doesn't that sound ridiculous. I really loved the blue paisley pattern so that came home with me.

After a couple of days we went to the Lake District which is my favourite place, If you haven't been, go. Surprisingly for a walking place you wouldn't expect the charity shops to be so good but they really are. I always hit up 2 towns, Keswick and Penrith. My sister got a burberry coat in Penrith for a tenner a couple of years back. Anyway, we took a wander into Keswick where I picked up the red and blue striped top and the velvet quilted drawstring bag from Cancer research. I used to get my basic tops from Primark but to be honest you can often find good ones in Charity shops for cheaper, especially on sale rails. Just be sure to check the armpits and for rips because you want them to last as long as possible. Back to the the top, like every other girl, I love stripes but by getting it from a Charity shop its just a little bit different. The bag has been added to my ever growing collection but is a good size for drunken dancing. Also there is to much boob to put stuff in my bra, so this should do the trick because the long string means I can wrap it around me and its the perfect size for a phone, small purse and keys.
The bag and the paisley high neck are one off things that don't happen often but I would definitely recommend searching the sale rails, bargain buckets and racks for plain T's for just everyday wear.
One last thing before I sign off, It got delivered while I was in the North so counts. The Oxfam Tote, I love it so much and quite a few people have commented on it. You can pick this up on there website WHICH by the way has a huge sale on at the moment so get your butts online.
Here's the link in case your lazy like me.
