Evening all,
This is my first post in a while, I apologise but for what its worth I have the hideous 'gym' like guilt because of it. I have been plodding along picking stuff up here and there and have done a couple of really large hauls but got complacent and haven't blogged about them. If you watch my instagram stories you will see a lot of it there. At the beginning of this bank holiday weekend I popped into Northampton town and hit 3 of my favourite Charity shops, Cancer research, Salvation army and Sue Ryder and picked up some good shit.
Im going to start with the most expensive item, this beautiful sheer vintage dress. To be honest I'm surprised you can't see my pants through it in these pictures. It was £4.99 and I kind of had to have it, the pattern and cut is a little be different. It is a sheer material so I am sure you can see through it however I plan to just pop the black slip I picked up a couple of weeks ago from Dapp for a quid under it, job done. I need to wear it with a belt other wise it does noting for my figure but I do with most things anyway.

Next up, Cancer research - I LOVE IT. There most expensive items are £3 and you can pick up some labels in there, I picked up a pair of Levis a few years back. So I popped in and picked up 2 shirts, one was a burnt orange embrodied oversized shirt and the other a brand new with tags polka dot tie shirt - They were £2 each. I brought them thinking about work but will probably also wear them to the pub. Shirts have been my go to thing in Charity shops for forever, be sure to check both mens and women's because a lot are gender neutral and I rarely look at sizes as long as its big enough I'm golden because you can tie them up or tuck them in. Next up I found the most amazing striped trousers for £2 and I had been after some for a while, only issue is that when I tried them on at home they don't fit so I think they are being gifted to my mum or maybe worn with a belt and a big t shirt. I also picked up a denim skirt for £2, I am not a fan of the length but brought it to cut the bottom off and I may have to fashion some kind of belt loops so thats my next little project. When charity shops are this cheap don't be afraid to buy something with the intension on reworking it, start slow if your scared and just cut the bottom of a pair of jeans and go from there. If you cut them too short, don't fret, there is probably someone out there who is shorter than you - re-donate (obviously don't re-donate if they look like they have been mauled by a dog by them time your done but salvage what you can)
I then popped into Sue Ryder whose prices are also dirt cheap. I picked a Rolling Stones top from the Men's section for £1.75 - which I will wear when I see them in June. Yes, I am that petty that I just dropped it in there but it's something to brag about. Always check the mens t-shirt section if you are in to band t-shirts or just oversized t-shirts in general, I tend to wear them for just my day to day wear because you can just throw them on (especially for those days when feeling tree trunk sized) I also found my new favourite item of clothing possibly ever, my flower embroided 3/4 lengths (I called them pedal pushers as a kid, take ya pick). THEY WERE ONLY £3! I don't own anything like them but was aware that embroided denim was all the rage not long ago, so I have now got mine later but cheaper.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, hopefully it has given you some ideas on what to look out for when buying your summer wardrobe.
I will hopefully have another post for your very shortly but in the mean time keep hash tagging your charity shop, Vintage and second hand finds with #asseenonsomeoneelse so that we can all share what we find.
xx
