For those of you that know me personally you are aware of my delightful living situation. For those of you that don't, I am a 26 year old woman living with my boyfriend, my mum, my dad, my sisters, my brother, his girlfriend, and the two dogs and every other week my boyfriends family. When I say its chaotic and unorganised 99% of the time and I frequently don't have clean underwear because of all the moving, I am not exaggerating. However, this has all happened for a reason, we used to rent a one bed factory flat in Northampton town centre but we got sick of the increasing rent and ever growing mould so have decided to save for our first home and move back in with our parents. Despite the little moan just there, I enjoy being around our families and we are both aware that we are so fortunate that we had the opportunity to do so.

We moved out last August and have been saving ever since and we are getting closer for us to start planning. I say we, I have been planning for the last 6 months hence this post. I have colour schemes in mind but I really think it is dependant on the property we end up in, the only thing I can be sure of is that I want to furnish it as cheaply using charity shops wherever possible. I use pinterest for inspiration and know of a couple of great charity shops locally to me that frequently stock the kind of stuff I like. SO what I thought I would do was put my ideas down and show you the kind of things I have found previously, but not been able to buy because of the lack of accommodation and also use online charity shops and there ebay accounts to show you the kind of thing I hope to be picking out when the time comes.

So let's start with a couple of images pinned to my pinterest home board.

As you can probably tell I like clutter. I am really aiming for a mix of old and new so I got onto oxfam because I love there website. They have the donated items as well as the sourced by items.

THROW £34.99,HANGING METAL FRAME £12.99, WOVEN BASKET £19.99 SET OF TWO COPPER BASKETS £9.99, HANDPRINTED TABLECLOTH £34.99

This is all from the sourced by Oxfam page on there website which you should definitely go and check out, I use it loads for buying christmas presents. Although its a bit pricey the quality is good and when they have a sale you can pick up a fair bit. You can probably pick up similar items from home sense but at least you know your money is going towards something good when brought from Oxfam so I don't mind paying the extra for that reason.

Next up I looked at there donated, I wasn't as impressed with the online homeware but that might be because I prefer looking at that stuff in store - I did however find a couple of bits.

I am sorry the prints are so small, the picture quality from the website wasn't very good.

I thought these prints were fucking cute and really cheap. I love floral imagery like this and if these aren't around I will look for old plant and gardening books and just take the pages out and frame them but this can work for anything your are into and can be a cheaper alternative.

When we lived in the flat I picked up a near enough complete dinner plate set from Salvation army for a fiver. Its a blue willow style and I love it, and yes I am aware Weatherspoons rock something similar but do not care. I will be re-using this in the new place but want to mix it up with other vibrant patterns. I found these tea cups on the oxfam donated page, they are probably a bit out of our price range because I break stuff but still beautiful and would kind of go with the stuff we already have.

OPOLE HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN TEACUPS £17.99

Similar to the set I picked up from Salvation Army.

Next up I had a look at British heart foundations ebay page and OH MY GOD. They have everything, telescopes, sofas, pianos, everything. I don't really know how to show you but heres a couple of things that caught my eye.

Ok so I wouldn't actually buy the telescope because I don't have that kind of money but the writing desk and drawer set I love. Unlike me if you have a house, GET BIDDING! You can find them buy just searching them on Ebay.

Im really excited to get to the point where we can finally get started, I will keep you updated as I go along to hopefully show you that you can furnish your home on a budget as well as putting money towards a good cause. Until then I will continue browsing Pinterest. If you have picked anything up that really cool, I would love to hear about it.

Hopefully next time I do a post about a house it will be coming from inside something like this...

But I highly fucking doubt it, Im not made of money.
